Position Title: Manufacturing Chemical Engineer
Description: We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Chemical Engineer who will be responsible for capital improvement projects from inception through design and implementation, technical support to Production and Maintenance departments, equipment reliability and safety Responsible for initiating ergonomic improvements and for complying with our ISO 14001 initiatives, and lowering our operational and maintenance costs and for improving finished product quality. In this role, you will write effective bid specifications for large capital projects, interface with numerous departments to ensure accuracy of project design target details, and interface with all engineering, manufacturing and maintenance departments along with R&D, QA, and Supply Management in order to obtain and organize accurate project timelines and information. You will track the expenditures on assigned capital accounts, and maintain responsibility for the following solid wire processes: copper plating, lube application, acid blending and filtration, water treatment plant and fume scrubbers.
Skills Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in and industrial environment
  • Experience with Six SIGMA is beneficial
  • Must be familiar with OSHA and EPA requirements
  • Must be able to interface effectively with Maintenance, Common Services, Supply Management, R&D and all Manufacturing Departments
  • Must be proficient in the use of the project management software such as Microsoft Project
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with excellent presentation skills
