Position Title: Mainframe Development Senior
Description: We are currently seeking a Mainframe Development Senior who will provide in-depth systems analysis, program development and support in a MVS mainframe, COBOL and Teradata data warehousing environment. The Mainframe Development Senior will perform all aspects of systems life cycle from requirements definition to implementation and support; Design, develop, implement, document and support data warehousing applications for enhancements and strategic EPM projects; Use project management and systems development life cycle methodologies; Interface with business customers on project specifications, testing, etc.; Interface with numerous information technology groups, including application and service teams; Provide support of existing data warehousing applications including participation in off shift duty analyst pager rotation. May be required to work weekends.~cb~
Skills Desired: The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in an Information Technology related discipline, with seven or more years in Information Technology. The candidate will have over five years experience in a Teradata, data warehousing environment; Over five years experience in SQL and extract, transform and load (ETL) programming; Strong mainframe skills including COBOL, MVS, JCL, CA7, TSO/SPF, Xpeditor and FileAid; Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); Exceptional analytical experience of complex applications and data relationships; Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills; Strong drive for results and ability to work independently; Self starter qualities, with proven innovation skills; Ability to work with cross-functional teams; Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing; Demonstrated ability to document complex systems; Experience in obtaining and understanding business requirements; Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans; Experience with financial business functions a plus.
