Position Title:	Mechanical Core and Lighting Engineer
Description:	Our client Visteon Corporation an equal opportunity employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce, is currently looking for a - Driver Information Mechanical Core and Lighting Engineer. Apply for this opportunity through MSX International or directly by visting www.visteon.com The Driver Information Mechanical Core and Lighting Engineer will be responsible for the following: Create, analyze, validate, document LED based optical/lighting engineering designs for instrument cluster and display assemblies. Conduct technical design reviews of LED based optical/lighting designs for instrument cluster and display assemblies. Create, validate and document instrument cluster mechanical / optical design elements for reuse. Complete and document tolerance stack analyses, DFMEAs. Provide guidance to the mechanical instrument cluster design team regarding design of optical / lighting system / components and implementation of mechanical bookshelf design elements. Manage mechanical resources in international locations to deliver mechanical and optical design elements.
Skills Desired:	The ideal candidate mustl have a BSME; (MSME preferred) and 3+ years related experience as well as the following experience; Demonstrated ability to create LED based optical/lighting designs for instrument cluster assemblies and components. Experienced in engineering design of decorative/illuminated plastic components and assemblies including color filters, LED sources, paint, texture, appliqués, light pipes, reflective surfaces, electronic displays. Experienced in engineering design of injection molded plastic components and assemblies ¿ Familiar with Class A surface and styling. Able to use Pro/E or Catia v5 to interrogate design models and make minor modifications. Able to use ANSYS and LightTools or equivalent CAE tools to perform basic CAE analyses. Ability to manage suppliers and OEM customers. Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team (CAD Designers, CAE engineers, Purchasing, SDE, Mfg, etc) to deliver mechanical designs for instrument cluster and display assemblies. Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
